The S&P 500 Index is a broad based unmanaged index of 500 stocks, which is widely recognized as representative of the equity market in general. You cannot invest directly in an index.

The Barclay's U.S. Aggregate Bond Index is a market-capitalization-weighted index of investment-grade fixed-rate debt issues, including government, corporate, asset-backed, and mortgage-backed securities, with maturities of at least one year. You cannot invest directly in an index.

50/50 blended index is made up of 50% S&P 500 and 50% Barclays Aggregate Bond Index, rebalanced monthly. This index is the benchmark for TOTLX and it is shown for every full calendar year since TOTLX's May 29, 2009 inception.
